In recent years, barley has become more and more important, due to its excellent tolerance to winter conditions, the relatively early harvest that arrives around mid-June, and thus barley avoids stressful conditions, also due to the safety of placing the commercial crop on the market and, above all, due to the profitability of production. High grain yields as well as excellent quality add to the importance of this culture, and there is also the possibility of using barley in animal feed.
Etincel and Pixel are 6 row winter feed barleys and Laureate is two row malting barley.
A high yield is something that guarantees the farmers' security in these varieties, and the possibility of buying the contracted brewing barley is a double security in Axereal as a buyer. Long-term cooperation with many farmers in Vojvodina confirms the built trust in the production of malting barley.

The organization of the production of malting barley for the needs of our Malting plant in Croatia and Hungary is an indicator of a successful business model in favor of the satisfaction of our producers. The production contracting conditions for malting barley are known when the contract is concluded. On the basis of the subcontractor agreement, we provide our subcontractors with quality seeds, plant protection products, fertilizer and advisory support. Our team of expert agricultural engineers monitors crops during the growing season and provides producers with expert advice and guidance from sowing to harvesting barley.
Our goal is to continue the good tradition and create an even stronger partnership, to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
The varieties of barley we contract for are Prestige and Laureate.
These are two facultative varieties of barley, which means that they have a wide date range for sowing: from the end of October to the end of January. The varieties are not demanding to the soil class, and give a very good yield even on slightly lower soil classes.
Sowing rates are around 180-200 kg/ha.
