The organization of the production of malting barley for the needs of our Malting Plants in Croatia and Hungary is an indicator of a successful business model in favor of the satisfaction of our producers. The terms of contracting production for malting barley are known when concluding the contract. Based on the subcontract, we provide our subcontractors with quality seeds, plant protection products, fertilizers and advisory support. Our team of professional agricultural engineers monitors crops during the growing season and gives producers expert advice and instructions from sowing to harvesting barley. Our goal is to continue the good tradition and create an even stronger partnership, to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

Malting barley is not demanding to the soil type, which we have established in practice and experience of 10 years, which has shown that the malting barley was very well on lands of a slightly lower quality class.
We offer two varieties of malting barley Prestige and Laureate, these are two-row facultative barley and optimal time of sowing is the end of October to mid-November. 10 years of practical experience has confirmed that it is not recommended to sow too early (avoid the beginning of October). Since these are barley that tiller very well, the sowing norm is 380,000-420,000 grains / ha and when we convert it into kilograms it would be about 170-190 kg / ha (it is necessary to recalculate depending on the weight of 1,000 grains for each LOT separately ). If sowing is done after the optimal deadline, it is necessary to raise the sowing rate by 10-20%, depending on how late it is.
Seeds are processed in two processing centers in Vojvodina, and the seeds are packed in jumbo bags of 1,000 kg.
In order to facilitate the organization of transport in the harvest and easier access to the field, it is desirable that the field be in one piece of at least 10 ha, and larger plots are desirable to achieve a more uniform quality of barley.

Malting barley does not require the same amount of nitrogenous mineral fertilizer as other arable crops. On the contrary, the amounts of nitrogen fertilizer applied are quite reduced in malting barley compared to fodder barley. For more information on top dressing, it is best to consult our expert advisor where you will get the right advice, and it is definitely recommended to do an N-min analysis (easily accessible nitrogen content in the soil) at the end of winter.
We advise you to fertilize with mineral fertilizers where nitrogen is in an easily accessible form for the plant (AN, KAN, SAN). Cohesive nitrogen fertilizers adversely affect the protein content of the grain, which is the primary parameter in the entire production cycle.
In order to achieve maximum results, it is necessary to do fungicidal treatments; in consultation with our expert which active substances should be used.
The crop should be kept clean without the presence of weeds and other plant species.
Harvest, transport and receipt goods in silos

A few days before the harvest, you need to agree with the commercial representative in order to better organize the transport and reception in the silo. You should also get the reception conditions from the salesman regarding the moisture and the quality of the barley itself. Quality is determined on the basis of analysis and parameters that brewing barley should meet in terms of: protein content in grain, calibration, moisture, etc. This is one standard procedure that the cooperant is familiar with in advance through the production contract.
We organize the reception of goods at harvest at several points in Vojvodina, and one of them is our silo in Temerin. By agreement with the commercialist, the barley is placed in a silo closest to your field rented by Axereal Serbia.
When the truck arrives at the silo with barley, a sample is taken from the vehicle, and a quality analysis is performed on the spot in the laboratory by a certified control house, and the agricultural producer can attend the on-site analysis.
